If you defeat them in battle or raid their villages, they will "get even" by raiding your fiefs when war is declared. There are lots of dishonorable lords out there. They target your holdings and love to send fast raiders to launch feint-attacks. The problem is that once you start to care about the villages, the enemy uses that to manipulate you. The pay off is much more when you are dealing with cities but I take it as a point of pride to make all of my properties the very best they can be.īesides, by the time you have a few cities, castles and a villages, you probably already have the stuff you want and are raking in cash from all the businesses around the region.what else are you gonna do with your money? I don't have the patience to actually figure it out but I do know that doing quests for them makes them better which increases the rents they pay each week.

When you help them out, they can grow and improve to the next level. Those little messages in the lower left corner that tell you (insert place name here) has gone from Average to Poor, are the results of neglecting your properties.
